What is an industrial electrical installation?
It's a complex electrical system used in industrial buildings to provide electrical power for various equipment and machinery.
The main objectives of an industrial electrical installation are to provide a stable and safe power supply to all equipment, to ensure the continuity of industrial operations and to minimize the risks of fire, electrical overload and other electricity-related accidents.
Equans Digital, your partner for industrial process optimization
Our team has extensive expertise in the implementation of electrical installations. For projects of all sizes, we design and carry out installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical equipment for the industrial sector. Our design office specializes in the sizing of electrical installations and carries out the study of electrical diagrams and calculation notes.
Faced with the challenges of decarbonization and performance, Equans Digital develops innovative, turnkey solutions that already meet the requirements of tomorrow.
In strong currents, we accompany our customers :
-
in the design and construction of high-voltage lines and transformer substations;
-
in the electrification of buildings, integrating power cabinets and low-voltage distribution networks ;
-
in the installation of generator sets ;
-
in the installation of charging stations for electric vehicles.
-
in the design and electrification of large process consumers
In low voltage, we install and maintain fire safety systems, anti-intrusion, access control, video surveillance, VDI, building management systems (GTB), home automation, industrial process automation
Equans Digital, with recognized expertise in industrial electricity, is qualifelec qualified.
Equans Digital, your partner in industrial automation and electricity
A proven methodology
-
Electrical schematic design : our design office specializes in the design of electrical diagrams, in compliance with current standards (NF C 15-100 in particular)
-
Programming of PLCs : we work with major brands such as Siemens, Schneider Electric, Allen Bradley or ABB to implement the various upgradeable functionalities for the automation of your equipment. We provide input/output synchronization, functional testing and start-up assistance. Our teams are regularly trained in the use of programming software.
-
Industrial electricity : our electricians work on site after our design office has drawn up the electrical diagrams. The routing, cable pulling and machine connections are also carried out by our teams. We also carry out the bringing up to standard of old installations, in collaboration with an inspection body. Finally, we provide maintenance and repair of installations.
What are the electrical standards for industrial buildings?
Electrical standards are essential in industrial buildings because of the many risks of overvoltage, fire and electrocution.
-
The NF C 15-100 electrical standard for industrial buildings: this regulates all low-voltage electrical installations (up to 1000 volts AC and 1500 DC), defining strict rules for design, implementation and verification.
The primary objective of NF C 15-100 is to ensure the protection of the electrical installation, its environment and people.
-
Electrical standards NF C 13-100 and NF C 13-200 for high-voltage installations (alternating current at a nominal voltage greater than 1000 V and less than or equal to 245 kV).
They define strict rules relating to the design and implementation of electrical installations with the aim of protecting property and people.
Note that there are three mandatory inspections of electrical installations in an industrial building: verification before energizing, initial verification before commissioning electrical installations, and annual periodic inspection.
It's important for a company to be accompanied by an electrical inspection office to ensure compliance with all current standards.
