Control expertise

Control systems are virtually indispensable on any modern automated production line.

It is now almost unthinkable to manage industrial systems without solutions for supervision and remote control.

Control command system: definition

It is a set of hardware and software components designed to supervise and regulate the operations of a technical system or process. It is used in many fields such as industry but also in energy, infrastructure etc.

Industrial system control gathers information from sensors and other data sources, processes it and makes decisions accordingly to control and regulate the system. It is also used to detect anomalies, perform corrective actions, regulate processes, automate tasks, etc.

In an automated factory, the control system uses regulation loops to meet production expectations. Thanks to industrial computing, operators can monitor and interact with the system using intuitive dashboards, while data is archived for later analysis and traceability of operations. This industrial control system helps to optimize processes, improve quality and ensure efficient, reliable production.

It typically consists of actuators, PLCs and supervisory software. Human-machine interfaces, or HMIs, are used to control or monitor an industrial installation. In the most basic case, this interface can be a few pushbuttons and lights installed on the console of a machine's control cabinet.
