Process data acquisition, commonly abbreviated as DAQ, is the process of collecting, retrieving and recording information from various sources. It involves collecting raw data from the real world, with the aim of using it later to perform analyses. It is important to note that this is a continuous process, where new data is constantly being collected, processed and used to generate results.
There are several data acquisition processes used depending on the specific needs and characteristics of the data to be collected: manual acquisition, in real time, from web sources or from third-party sources. Indeed, to be effective, this system must be capable of managing and processing multi-source information.
