Industrializing the deployment of Air Handling Units
The solution that guarantees impeccable hygiene and optimal comfort in operating theatres and sterile rooms, thus responding to critical public health issues.
As the technical arm of air treatment in buildings, AHUs (Air Handling Units) are now establishing themselves as one of the main components of HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) systems.
Within these systems, the development of electrical cabinets is often a complex stage requiring many hours of study per cabinet, the development of specific PLCs, and involving multi-resource commissioning.
Equans Digital excels in guaranteeing continuity of hospital services, while reducing energy costs and protecting against cyber attacks. With a view to industrialization, certain phases are optimized to accelerate installation and simplify maintenance, ensuring end-user comfort.
With this in mind, Equans Digital teams have designed the CEDI cabinet, a standardized device that facilitates the deployment of AHUs in hospitals.
This box massively simplifies the installation of AHUs on building sites and speeds up their deployment during commissioning in record time, from 40 hours previously to 10 minutes. Thanks to standardized engineering and an optimized footprint, the box, measuring 60 x 80 cm, fits 80% of AHUs in the hospital sector, simplifies implementation, maintenance and operation, and derisks the schedule (saving time during installation and commissioning, reducing the risk of hazards).
In summary, the cedi box is:
- Standardized engineering
- Optimized footprint
- Simplified installation
- Autonomy and rapid deployment during commissioning
- Easier adaptability in operation
Currently the subject of a patent application with INPI, CEDI is being deployed on a large scale and has already been integrated into 500 AHUs installed in numerous French hospitals. Using CEDI has enabled us to offer end customers a high-performance, easy-to-maintain solution.
