Heterogeneous palletizing: an Equans Digital innovation.
Sokoa, a Hendaye-based French manufacturer of seating and seating solutions for professional spaces, adopted heterogeneous palletization last March.
From now on, the aim is to reach 1,200 to 1,400 parcels per day by the end of July.
.
The benefits of heterogeneous palletizing are numerous for Sokoa.
-
Improved working conditions:
Working conditions for employees in the shipping area, first and foremost, have changed considerably, as today more than 70 to 80% of parcels are handled automatically by the robot, whereas before March, eight people were required to handle 15 to 20 tons of parcels a day.
-
Optimization of palletization quality:
Palletization quality has also been a major advantage, as the rate of disputes linked to packaging, palletization and transport used to be around 15% of after-sales costs. A criterion that was damaging Sokoa's image with its customers.
