Following a call for tenders, Gastier was selected to proceed with the replacement of the control system at the Pointe-Claire drinking water production plant located in Montreal, rendered, with a new state-of-the-art system in order to increase the reliability, availability and performance of the plant's existing equipment.
Based on its decades of expertise in the automation of water treatment systems, Gastier carried out the turnkey migration of all control PLCs, SCADA, servers and all plant instrumentation on a design build basis. At the end of the project, we integrated the Pointe claire plant into the centralized hypervision system that, among other things, monitors the 5 other drinking water production plants supplying over 3 million cubic meters of water per day to residents of the island of Montreal, making it the 3rd largest in Canada.
